Tomorrow is july the fourth, so happy America Day ya filthy reds.
One of the current to-do's is moving the site workflow to something that better supports blogging from mobile, because editing the raw HTML on neocities is extremely not it. Spent most of today and way too much of last night running in circles trying to figure out a stack to do this. Autosite on desktop really spoils me because it provides:
Ok got distracted by something exciting right after I started writing this. Just been very all over the place disocciated today. But I got node installed on WSL (feels like the method for doing this changes every 2 years and that's there when I want to start digging my teeth into gatsby. I really wish I could find a text editor I liked better than VS code that also has a file tree in the sidebar. IDE's are so big and bloated and disk space is at a premium for me. Is geany still around? I think that had a windows release and was pretty much as no-frills as I like them.
That was a cute trick though, don't you think?
Returning to this a little bit more clear-headed and remembered that you can used markdown files with a paid neocities subscription. That wouldn't be the worst, but I also wouldn't have autosite's templating. Nekoweb also looks like an interesting option, but I'm really murky on what nekovm can and can't do as it pertains to gatsby. Wizardposted a little bit on cohost, but I think people on there know to expect weird stuff from me by now, and if they don't, im not pressed about it.
(very weird mid-sentence typing quirk change but ok)
Oh, nekoweb just straight up has a git server. we're so back
Back to diary.
